WELCOME TO

FIRST LINE RESPONDERS AUSTRALIA

We support first line responders in a way few people do. We deliver the most effective, valuable, and authentic services to the most important people in our community - our first line responders.

From nurses and ambos, through to police, fire and SES crew. We either deliver the service ourselves, or partner with the best in the business. And get this? Who ever we partner with, works for YOU.

Our sole purpose is to deliver for our members.

Our Services

Mental Health Support

We know that for many first line responders - especially those working remotely - access to mental health support can be limited and difficult to find. Moreover, WHY does accessing support always seems to be tied to a traumatic incident? Why can’t you just go and de-brief with someone you trust, when you want, confidentially? What ABOUT TELEHEALTH with an Australian Psychologist? That’s our model and why we have established one of the most progressive national mental health platforms in Australia, providing members with access to 203 registered psychologists and a Telehealth service few can match.

Mental Health Services for First Line Responders

Advocacy

We don’t become first line responders to get caught up in politics or constantly be asked to join a rally to secure fair wages and conditions. We become first line responders to support the community and be valued when doing so.

We are not an advocacy organisation and we’re not interested in politics. However, if our FLRP members ask us to represent them, we will. No one is more passionate about making sure you and your family are supported.

Legal Advice

Legal advice varies from seeking an opinion on an estate matter, through to a police officer needing representation when meeting with their internal investigation branch. Regardless of the request we’re here to support you.

The keys to our platform are pretty simple: engagement | compassion | affordability.

As an organisation we are unable to provide legal advice, so have partnered with firms who genuinely care about first line responders the roles you play within the community.

Executive / Career Support

Ideally we want to see first line responders happy in their roles and active in the community. But we appreciate a percentage have had enough and wish to transition back into the private sector, or explore a career change. We’ll support you through this process by either providing a mentoring / coaching service, helping you with your CV, or actively helping you start a business. At the end of the day the FLRA platform is YOURS. So let us know how we can support you.

Trusted Small Business Support

We hand pick, by State, the best trades and small businesses to support our Members. From builders and electricians through to pool cleaners and your local cafe. If they are on our platform they care about first line responders. You can access them all via our membership page.

Accomodation

Our accommodation platform is unique and exclusive to members only.

We are building a list of privately owned properties owned by people who genuinely value first line responders.

These properties can be booked by members in advance and unlike other membership platforms we DO NOT have a ballot system.

If you have a property and would like to secure valued, respectful, considerate guests that you know have looked after your property before - rather than shift through unknown enquiries - reach out.

Do you enjoy coffee?

We’ve partnered with award winning Leftfield Coffee Roasters to deliver our members a stand-alone First Line Responders coffee bean based on the amazing FAT PUPPY brand.

With over 20 years of experience in the craft, Kamran Nowduschani and Louise Gordon source specialty grade coffee from revered growing regions of the world, to quality control, tasting, masterfully creating custom blends, and selecting the finest specialty single origins in season.

FAQs

  • The membership fee is $150 annually. There are no surprises and we will not ask you for a single cent more.

  • We pay for your full BIG 4 Parks Membership Australia wide. This cost’s us a significant amount but we believe it’s all worth it. You then secure access to all of our content including all of our partners, services and of course our national mental health platform.

  • We support nurses, fire fighters, paramedics, police and hard working SES volunteers.

  • We’ve been lobbying at the highest level for over 20 years with other entities. We get policy. In this instance though, we prefer to stay really positive and leave the politics up to others. However, we do meet with Ministers and question why we have national awards for key professions and yet, first line responders are on this smorgasbord of varied pay levels and rates; where State Governments actively poach first line responders from other States with a $20k bonus? We believe that’s not cool.

We’d prefer this model: GO GRAB the highest paid first line responder in that field - in any jurisdiction - set the national award and pay everyone in that field at the highest level.

Why should cops in Tasmania be seen as the lowest paid? Why should nurses in WA always need to rally for pay rises and a fair go. It’s not right.

First line responders are the backbone of the community and we reckon it’s time for change! So YEAH. If our members wanted us to, we’d lobby damn hard for a more national, simpler and equitable approach.

Until then, we’ll stay unbelievably positive and continue to build and deliver the best service based platform in Australia.
